Register and connect to BlastShield™ using the Mobile Client app

The most common way to access a BlastShield™ network is via the Desktop Client on your computer. Alternatively you may use a mobile device, such as a tablet, to access the network via the Mobile Client app. In this case you would use your mobile device both for authentication and for network access.

Here, we explain how to register and connect to the BlastShield™ network via the Mobile Client app using the invitation file provided in the welcome email.

Register and connect to BlastShield™ using the iOS or Android Mobile Client.

This process requires the following items:

  • The BlastShield™ Mobile Client app installed on your iOS or Android mobile device.  Here are the download links for iOS and Android
  • Android users only, will additionally require the BlastShield™ Authenticator App to be installed on your device. Download it from here. This is not required for iOS devices.
  • The Administrator .bsi invitation file, provided to you in the welcome email from BlastWave.

  1. Download and Install the BlastShield™ Mobile Client app on your mobile device
  2. If you are using Android you must also Install and start the BlastShield™ Authenticator App on your Android device (not required on iOS devices)
  3. Open the .bsi file on your mobile device
  4. Opening the bsi file will start the BlastShield Mobile Client and register you on the network
  5. Enter a name for the new network, then click ‘Next’
  6. Validate your biometric information with your mobile device
  7. Access is now granted to the network via your mobile device
